'The Nature of Individual and Mass Events'

I just finished reading 'The nature of individual and mass events'. It is a testament to the words of Gandhiji in which he says 'you must be the change you wish to see in the world'. It explains our our individual heroism leads to mass changes. How following our impulses lead us to our purpose and how personal fulfilment leads to global fulfilment. He says that social change can be brought about by being focused on our own goals. How laws change after enough people agree upon principles and that the law is indeed above religions and science through this basic statement "An individual is innocent until proven guilty". This does make be believe that all religions do not say that we are sinners.

The most important idea for me was around idealism. As I have been idealistic most of my life, it was sobering to know how idealism turns into fanaticism if not managed properly and how it is important for idealists to implement their ideas in their own lives, else depression sets in. He explained that our impulses teach us or show us the way to accomplishment of our ideals in our day-to-day life.
